Today’s blog prompt is:
Why blog? Why do you or why do you like to blog (recognizing that these are not always the same thing)?
Over the course of the last year I’ve gone back and forth on this question but one thing is for certain blogging is resourceful and powerful. Now I do not have my own personal blog which may or may not change in the near future. However, this blog and various other blogs have aided me both professionally and personally. Blogging is a great outlet to share resources, validate people, start intriguing conversations, and rally together networks of people with shared beliefs. How many times have you gone to a blog and felt validated because you found someone with a similar view point as yours? Or clicked a blog and was inspired by the blogger to start something new or do something different?
Since joining this collaborative blog I’ve thoroughly enjoyed blogging. The response back from posts is always encouraging and to see what the other contributors post validates why I joined this blog in the first place. For more information on why I blog, more specifically on this blog, check out my first post where I talk about my struggles as a female in the STEM field. Why do you blog? If you have a personal blog post the link in our comments!
